Ju Wenjun has won the women's world chess championship title for the fifth time. The Chinese grandmaster defended the title she has held since 2025.

In her match for the world championship title against compatriot Tan Zhongyi, Ju played a draw in the ninth game. The draw was enough to secure an early victory in the match. The final score was 6.5-2.5 in favor of the world champion.
