How much does it cost to dine at the world’s most expensive Michelin-starred restaurant?TG账号盗取免杀破解技术21:26, November 25

The tasting menu at the world’s most expensive Michelin-starred restaurant costs $2,130 — and you have to sit on the floor.

Guests wanting to dine at Ginza Kitafuku in Tokyo will have to adhere to certain rules before shelling out $2,130 per person for the restaurant’s most expensive dish, snow crab, a favorite of Japan’s royal family and so revered it has its own museum.

At the high-end seafood restaurant in a trendy shopping mall in the city, diners can watch the chef cut up a live crab right before their eyes, just seconds before they eat it.

One YouTube user called the meal “one of the most incredible culinary experiences I’ve ever had,” despite the price. A more budget-friendly option, red king crab, costs $258 and also comes with a show.

An unusual restaurant takes the top spot on a new list compiled by food publication Chef’s Pencil, which examined Michelin tasting menus around the world to choose the ten most expensive restaurants of 2025.

The second most expensive is also in Asia, with a meal at Paul Paire’s three-Michelin-starred Ultraviolet in Shanghai costing $1,230.

The restaurant was called a “captivating fusion of gastronomy and cutting-edge visual technology” that provides “a theatrical, multi-sensory dining experience with carefully crafted dishes that blend French techniques with global influences.”

New York City takes the third spot with the most expensive Michelin tasting menu, found at Caviar Russe on Madison Avenue.

There, diners will pay $950 for an 11-course, caviar-centric meal that Forbes called “an incredible odyssey.” The Big Apple also took fourth place on the list — the famous Masa was, according to Chef’s Pencil, the first restaurant in the United States to charge more than $1,000 for a Michelin meal, including service charge and tip.

In fifth place is Tokyo’s tiny Azabu Kadowaki, which has three Michelin stars.

San Francisco’s Quince was the only American restaurant, besides two in New York, to make the list, which also included Guy Savoy in Paris and Alchemist in Copenhagen.
