New Look’s return to growth has begun at Liverpool One. The fashion retailer has chosen to move into a 20,000 sq ft flagship store at 19 South John Street, replacing a temporary space on Upper South John at the central Liverpool mall.

The new store marks a return to growth for the brand which was forced to close stores over the last few years in a restructuring drive. The latest opening also renews the brand’s 13-year association with Liverpool One.

The flagship “consists of a striking two-floor atrium space, complete with bespoke lighting features, showcasing new seasonal launches and exclusive collections”.

Additionally, located across the store, large state-of-the-art screens display the brand’s latest clothing, “showing customers different ways to style New Look pieces while they are shopping”.

From activewear to occasionwear, the store offers New Look’s  womenswear and teen 915 collections, alongside exclusive collaborations, including the new Anne-Marie X New Look collection.

CEO Nigel Oddy said: “With two floors of broad appeal, feelgood fashion, we’ve created a unique store for our brand’s loyal customer base in Liverpool”.

Alison Clegg, director of Asset Management for landlord Grosvenor, added: “New Look relocating to a prominent new store is a solid endorsement for Liverpool One and a testament to the continued demand for physical retail spaces across the destination.

Grosvenor also said the latest announcement follows "an extremely successful third quarter for Liverpool One, which has consistently outperformed the UK benchmarks as consumer confidence and freedom return”.

It said sales are up 7.4% compared to the same period in 2025, significantly beating the UK average of +0.3%.

“In addition, 60% of stores are experiencing growth compared to 2025, with 78% of those posting double-digit sales increases”, Grosvenor added.
