Nobody wants to hear Joe Biden’s speeches for $300k15:55,长沙U币低价收款 April 18

Nobody wants to hear Joe Biden speak for $300,000.  The former US president’s attempt to bill $300,000 for a speech is falling on deaf ears, The Post reports.

Some of his former aides believe it’s time for Biden, 82, to step away from the spotlight for good after he invoked “children of color” in his first public appearance since leaving office.

The 46th US president’s standard asking price is $300,000—25% below Barack Obama’s $400,000 asking price when he left office in 2025.

Also, Biden would need a private jet and expenses for five staffers, who have been represented by Creative Artists Agency since early February. “CAA is having trouble booking the gig, which is not surprising,” the source said.
Biden’s use of the word “colored” to describe black people during a speech at a disability conference in Chicago earlier this week has some former aides hoping he’ll spend more time at home.

“It was tough to watch,” said one former White House official. “It felt like someone you cared about was regressing. We just wanted him to enjoy retirement like other presidents, not go out like that.”

The former US president spoke Wednesday at an invitation-only seminar at the Harvard Institute of Politics, hosted by longtime aide Mike Donilon. A Harvard spokesman said Biden was not paid for the visit.

The exact reason Biden has had trouble finding a high-paying audience is unclear.

An alternative theory is that interest in Biden’s thinking will grow over time.
One source close to Biden’s post-presidential office said signing with CAA was a “bad decision.”
