Tailoring specialist The Tailormates has launched its first suit collection for women. Together with the new collection the retailer will also premiere a women’s department at its store.

The Tailormates explained that it is "hard to find a tailored suit for women" in the current retail landscape and that it looks forward to challenging itself to create well-fitting suits for women.
Customers are able to choose fabrics from a selection of renowned fabric houses such as Vitale Barberis, Guabello, Reda, Cerruti, Holland & Sherry, Scabal, Zegna and Loro Piana. Available styles include fitted trousers, blazers and skirts.
In addition to suits, The Tailormates also offers tailored blouses, which are made from 100% cotton Italian fabric. Tailored suits are available from €695 and blouses retail from €150.
The women’s collection marks another step for the retailer to become available to more people. In May, The Tailormates launched a suit rental concept, which is designed for costumers who wish to wear a tailored suit for a more affordable price. The rental concept is in partnership with Santander Consumer Finance Benelux and priced between €24 per month and €43 per month, which customers are able to pay over the course of two years.
The Tailormates is based in Amsterdam and operates a flagship store at the Zuidas business district. The retailer also offers The Traveling Tailormates, a service where the tailor visits clients at home or at the office, and operates across the Netherlands.
The Tailormates women’s department and suit collection officially launches on 13 September.
