Luxury online fashion plaform Farfetch has relocated its U.S. West Coast headquarters to a new space on the 30th floor of The Bloc in Los Angeles.
Located at 700 South Flower Street, the 25,000-square-foot office was designed in collaboration with Fiona Livingston, co-founder of Studiofibre, and will be the company's new outpost on the West Coast.
“We are excited about our new office at The Bloc as it further solidifies our commitment to Los Angeles as a critical hub for the global operations of Farfetch," said Jeffery Fowler, president of Farfetch North America, in a release. "In an increasingly competitive technology and fashion landscape, happy employees are essential to create world class products, services and experiences for our customers, and we feel that being in a great building in the heart of Downtown LA has helped us to create a work environment which will foster highly engaged and motivated team members for many years to come.”
Described as a "future office" space by the company, the new LA headquarters was conceptualized by Livingston as well as Doctor Marcus Conyers, founder of BrainSmart, to encourage wellbeing and peak cognitive performance in Farfetch employees.
Featuring bespoke furniture, fixtures and fittings inspired by Farfetch's activities in both fashion and technology and a color palette inspired by Californian nature, one of the many optimization-focused features of the office is its "micro neighborhoods."
Positioned within an open workspace, these different sections of the office offer different working environments meant to cater to different tasks, from important one-on-one conversations or relaxation to collaborative brain-storming sessions.
Farfetch also operates offices in a number of other major cities including New York, London and Tokyo.
