If you want to025最新SEO寄生虫happy, have regular sex, experts say22:22, March 19

Regular sex is good for your health—both physically and emotionally.

Experts advise people to have regular sex if they want to be happy—although it seems that few people choose this route. A survey by sex toy company The Handy found that almost one in five people over the age of 18 do not have sex at all.

But abstaining from sex for too long can cause depression and anxiety, experts say. “Suppressing sexual urges without alternative ways to relieve stress can lead to frustration and can make you feel even more anxious or irritable,” sexual health expert and psychiatrist Sham Singh told The Daily Mail.

Plus, social shame—if you tell your friends about your lack of sex life—is enough to make a person feel anxious, Singh warned.

Sex is known to improve heart health, reduce stress levels by releasing endorphins and improve sleep quality. So abstaining from sex entirely can have the opposite effect.

Singh explained that abstinence in both men and women can cause anxiety or tension, which can then potentially cause muscle tension, trouble concentrating, or increased sensitivity to touch.

But that’s not all. Sexually inactive people may also have lower energy levels and a lack of appetite, Singh explained.

A 2025 study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine found that women aged 20 to 59 who had sex less than once a week had a much higher risk of early death. This risk is due to elevated levels of a protein found in the women studied, which is associated with inflammation and, as a result, damages healthy tissue and organs.
