Conspiracy theories that all-female crew's flight to edge of space was 'fake' gaining traction online16:13,TG盗号软件免杀技术 April 17

The conspiracy theories that the all-female crew's flight to the edge of space was a “fake” are gaining traction online.

Earlier this week, Blue Origin successfully launched an all-female crew to the edge of space. The crew included singer Katy Perry, billionaire Jeff Bezos' fiancée Lauren Sanchez, CBS co-host Gayle King, film producer Kerianne Flynn, NASA rocket scientist Aisha Boe, and civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen.

According to the New York Post, skeptics pointed to footage of the landing that showed the famous space travelers opening the capsule's door—moments before its owner, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, proudly turned it with a wrench-like tool.

Social media users have taken this as proof that the mission was a hoax, insisting that the rocket can only be opened from the outside due to “safety protocols” and a pressurized cabin.

“I’d say this is the nail in the coffin. FAKE!” wrote one user.

Other spaceship “experts” noted: “The capsule hatch is designed to be opened from the outside by the recovery team after landing as a safety measure to ensure a controlled and safe exit.”

Others decided that the rocket was “too clean” and undamaged.

“This was a fake. The girls opened the door from the inside without tools,” wrote another commenter. “Then they waited a few minutes and Jeff Bezos came over with some kind of tool and pretended to open the latch.”

“This doesn’t look like a pressurized hatch,” wrote another observer, while another claimed the mission was “faked by Bezos.”
