Sumitomo Corporation, Summit Pharmaceuticals International, and Italy’s Intercos S.p.A., an ODM cosmetics company, will jointly enter the ODM market in Japan.
The three companies have planned to set up a joint business and research facilities in 2025 to carry our research and development.

Intercos works in the ODM business and is involved with projects from product design and concept creation to contracted manufacturing.
The business currently provides services to around 430 global clients, including world famous cosmetics brands, and focuses on makeup and skin care. The business has 11 research centres and 15 manufacturing plants located in Europe, the Americas, China, Korea, among others.
Summit Pharmaceuticals and its parent company Sumitomo Corporation are present in the Americas with Presperse Corporation and Brazil’s Cosmotec, and have investments in biogenics with their Korean cosmetic material technology venture, and even develop cosmetic materials with both Japanese and international cosmetics manufacturers.
The businesses aim to strengthen their business portfolio through their joint venture with Intercos.
