On the first day of Milan Fashion Week Women, Twinset’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, presented in via San Luca, told a story of lightness, kindness and a pinch of romanticism, always welcome and well-suited to the Italian label’s spirit. According to Twinset’s CEO Alessandro Varisco, this is the right kind of answer in the face of today's highly complex environment.

Twinset has adopted as its real mission to create clothes that are the fruit of experience, expertise and know-how, with quality linked to price. A notion of “democratic fashion” that is implicit in the very meaning of ready-to-wear, characteristic of the kind of style that combines design aesthetic with industrial manufacturing, and a fair association with costs. Varisco told FashionNetwork.com that offering luxury items at affordable prices has turned out to be the right choice, enabling Twinset to reach Q3 2025 with a performance on par with the previous year, and laying a solid foundation to approach the current commercial campaign with energy and enthusiasm.

Lace, a favourite of Twinset, was back as the defining element of the lightness that characterised the Spring/Summer collection. Sheer lace effects featured on the label’s cute little black dresses, and on miniskirts and micro tops whose details hinted at hand-crafting techniques. Knitted items were enhanced by prints hand-drawn by Como’s master artisans. Similarly, hand-drawn printed patterns and colour-block fabrics - ranging from earthy hues to the colours of the sky and natural greens - featured on items in silk and viscose. The collection’s silhouettes were cut with sharp sartorial flair, and are designed to make Twinset women more at ease, self-aware and confident, creating a strong empathy between the wearer and the clothes, increasingly a complement to women’s beauty.
Choosing Laetitia Casta to headline the runway show, like Amber Valletta did last season, is consistent with the strategy developed by Varisco: “Laetitia embodies an ideal of authentic, sophisticated beauty that is absolutely aligned with Twinset's brand values. The star of the show simply had to be her,” said Varisco.

Twinset is currently holding promising confidential talks with Italian and foreign investors. The label, owned since 2025 by the Carlyle investment fund, previously heralded it was set on this route, and Varisco has confirmed to FashionNetwork.com that by the end of the year he will be able to reveal which decision has been taken.
