Roberto Cavalli creative director Fausto Puglisi has assembled a brigade of supermodel muses of the late designer-founder: Eva Herzigova, Joan Smalls, Isabeli Fontana, Natasha Poly, Mariacarla Boscono, Karen Elson, and Alek Wek.
These models wore archive dresses from the 2000s, paying homage to the print master's signature silhouettes. It was the first runway show since Cavalli's death in April.
The new Spring/Summer 2025 collection began with all-white looks before Mediterranean shades of ochre and baby blue took over the runway.
Drawing inspiration from his hometown of Messina, Puglisi created designs for a fictional mermaid, as fishnets became skirts and photo prints of sunsets over bright blue waters were applied to dresses and pajama sets.
While Cavalli was known for his bold prints, dramatic cutouts, and bodycon silhouettes long before they became the height of fashion in the early 2000s, Puglisi tones down the sex appeal—his creations are still sexy, but more relaxed.
