Zara, Inditex’s most iconic and profitable brand, will open its largest store in the world in the Dutch city of Rotterdam this autumn, spanning 9,000 square meters and including a Zara Home section, as confirmed by Inditex’s CEO, Óscar García-Maceiras.

The opening of the Zara Coolsingel Rotterdam store could be ready for this upcoming autumn, as the remodeling works are progressing well and are nearly complete.
This megastore will surpass in size the one opened in April in the Plaza de España building in Madrid, which, with an area of nearly 8,000 square meters, was among the largest Zara stores globally.
Inditex presented its results for the first fiscal semester (February-July) on Wednesday, including a record profit figure of 2.513 billion euros, a 40.1% increase from the same period in 2025.
In the Zara and Zara Home brands alone, net sales grew by 13.1% during this period, reaching 12.362 billion euros (the highest-grossing format).
The CEO highlighted the strength of these figures as a result of the company’s business model, which, in his opinion, has taken the company to “a higher level.”
He attributed this to the company’s continuous commitment to creativity, product quality, and the customer experience, as well as its strong focus on sustainability.
García-Maceiras also emphasized the company’s close collaboration with some of the industry’s most avant-garde talent as a part of its success.
Regarding the group’s online sales, he stated that “it’s impossible to explain” these sales “without the strength of physical stores, which provide key logistical capabilities.”
In terms of the U.S. market, Inditex’s CEO announced the opening of Zara Miami Dadeland, Zara Roosevelt Field Mall in New York, and Zara Baton Rouge in Louisiana this year, as part of the 30 planned projects in the United States.
Regarding the implementation of the new soft alarm technology, company executives explained that it is progressing “perfectly, without significant issues,” and added that by the end of 2025, it will be deployed in Zara stores worldwide.
