Sotheby's and Marriott are auctioning off ultra-luxury travel experiences.
The new partnership, called "Iconic Objects: Extraordinary Experiences," will combine exclusive itineraries with prized collectibles and private masterclasses from the hotelier, spanning a portfolio of luxury properties from the Ritz-Carlton to Bulgari Hotels & Resorts.
The partnership kicks off with two epic experiences: one for the fashion elite, and one for watch and whisky lovers.
There's the Alexander McQueen Discovery itinerary. Guests will travel to London, where they'll spend two nights in a suite and take a private tour of the Victoria & Albert Museum, a source of inspiration for the late British designer. The trip includes a session with French photographer Anne Ray, who has photographed McQueen for over a decade, and a five-course dinner for two at Michelin-starred Berners Tavern, according to RobbReport.
As for the second lot, it takes you on an adventure to the United States. Presented by the Ritz-Carlton, Whiskey Reverie will enable the winning bidder to begin their journey with a two-night stay at the NoMad in New York City. Here, whiskey expert and founder of Uncle Nearest, Fawn Weaver, will join you and your guests for a culinary experience at Bazaar by José Andrés. The next leg of this journey takes you to Tennessee, where the Luxury Collection Hotel in Nashville will serve as your base. Activities include a history-steeped tour of the Nearest Green Distillery, and a tasting tour led by Master Blender Victoria Eadie Butler. Plus, you’ll take home a signed copy of Weaver’s book, Love & Whiskey.
