London-based online fashion marketplace Cult Mia has raised £2.5 million in seed funding to continue “building the leading platform for sustainable and conscious luxury fashion”.

Backers include Fuel Ventures, luxury fashion investor David Wertheimer, Morgan Stanley, and WomanKind Ventures.
The company said its “tech IP has been and will continue to be a significant focus in order to continue putting the platform way ahead of the competition both for brands and shoppers via a product-to-market that is quicker than fast fashion, while guaranteeing sustainability.”
CEO Nina Briance added: “Cult Mia will use the investment to further advance automating its platform technology, increase efficiencies in acquiring and retaining customers, while expanding the core team to cover new product and service verticals planned to roll in 2025.”
Founded in October 2025 by Briance, Cult Mia said it has developed an “unmatched marketplace model over the course of its first four years… with an unparalleled gross margin in the top 1% in the industry, a return rate 16% below the industry average and a customer acquisition cost 31% more efficient than peers”.
Positioning it next to the well-established marketplace peers, it said the platform “takes home more than double the profit per order compared to its competitors”.
Also more than 40% of the products listed on the platform can only be found on Cult Mia, with 100+ brands currently on the waiting list to join, and a 95% brand retention rate since inception.
