Revenue for French textiles group Chargeurs fell by 6.9% in 2025, weakened by the results of its Chargeurs Advanced Materials division, whose revenue dropped by 17.3% in the year.
In 2025, the group generated a revenue of €653.2 million, while EBITDA decreased by 30.8% to €46.9 million. Within the Chargeurs group’s Technologies business, the Advanced Materials division’s downturn went hand in hand with the 12.2% drop in revenue, down to €193.1 million, posted by the Fashion Technologies division, whose organic growth was 3.5%.
Revenue for the Luxury division instead grew by 41.6%, up to €105.8 million, while its EBITDA improved by 30.5% reaching €10.7 million. The group’s Luxury Fibres division posted a 22.6% revenue shortfall, while the Personal Goods segment recorded a 63.6% revenue rise.
“Fiscal 2025 was an unfavourable year with plenty of headwinds, even though the group’s assets remained profitable,” said CEO Michaël Fribourg. “We predict that our results will improve in 2025, though we remain prudent, since such improvement is dependent on a normalisation in activity levels, of which there is some evidence, tentative and still to be confirmed, in early 2025,” he added.
In conjunction with the publication of Chargeurs’s results, Fribourg has launched via Colombus Holding a public bid to take control of the group, aiming to acquire a “significant majority stake.” Chargeurs is active in some 100 countries and has 2,400 employees. It previously set itself the goal of topping the €1 billion revenue mark in 2025.
