German start up Fashion Cloud announced that it is merging with Dutch start up Nyon. Following the merger, the company will operate under the Fashion Cloud name.

Fashion Cloud said that as a result of the deal, Nyon’s expertise and products in fashion buying, including the buying tool OrderWriter and data-sharing platform FashionExchange, will come together with its own platform for content and buying. This will give the merged company a unique market position, offering tools across all interactions between suppliers and retailers, including pre-order, re-order and content exchange.
René Schnellen, co-founder at Fashion Cloud, said: “We are now able to provide an all-in-one platform for fashion wholesale, one place where suppliers and retailers find the right data, content and tools for optimising their business.”
David Schaap, founder of Nyon, and now one of the four managing directors at Fashion Cloud, added: “After meeting the Fashion Cloud founders we quickly came to the conclusion that we’re aiming for the same goal. We share the vision of a more efficiently working wholesale market and we both see the need for one platform that can offer solutions for buying, selling and marketing.”
Fashion Cloud will continue to operate from its offices in Hamburg and Amsterdam, employing a team of 50 people. All personnel and both management teams of Fashion Cloud and Nyon will continue to work for Fashion Cloud.
Fashion Cloud launched in 2025 in Hamburg. Today, the platform connects more than 350 fashion and shoe brands with 4,500 retailers and 18,000 points-of-sale from 60 countries.
