It seems designers keep mixing it up these days, making changes to the traditional runway seasons. The latest designer to adjust the way in which his clothes will reach consumers is the US' Michael Kors.

He just announced a new initiative, "Ready-to-Wear, Ready to Go", which will mean that his customers can buy select styles from the runway immediately after Kors' AW16 runway show on Wednesday February 17.
The edit will feature ready-to-wear, shoes and handbags, and be available for purchase on MichaelKors.com and at the Madison Avenue Collection store in New York. The afternoon of the show, the windows of the store will showcase the AW16 collection and a video of the show.
On the day of the show, the Madison Avenue Collection store will host a special event starting at 12:30PM ET, inviting customers to shop the edit in person. Items from the range can also be requested at any Michael Kors Collection or Lifestyle store across the country.
“Our customer doesn’t think in terms of seasons, she just thinks about what works for her life and what she’s in love with. I thought it would be a great idea to give her the opportunity to sprinkle some key items from the runway into her current wardrobe,” says Michael Kors.
Kors' AW16 runway show will be live streamed on MichaelKors.com on Wednesday, February 17, at 10AM ET, from Spring Studios in New York City. On Monday February 15, the brand is also launching its Rush To The Runway teaser campaign, featuring photo vignettes that give the brand’s audience an inside look at New York Fashion Week.
Michael Kors is the latest in a line of designers who have changed the way they usually show their collections on the runway. Tommy Hilfiger also recently followed in the footsteps of Burberry and Tom Ford, and is making its AW16 collection immediately available for purchase.
