As AR plays an increasingly important role in e-tail, app developer Perfect Corporation has announced the launch of YouCam for Web, a self-service subscription solution allowing small and medium businesses to integrate the company’s AI and AR makeup technologies into their websites.

A subscription to YouCam for Web gives companies access to the Perfect Console, a dashboard allowing them to set up and manage virtual makeup try-ons on their e-commerce platforms. Subscribers will also be able to track analytics reports through the Console.
The new service is powered by Perfect Corp’s facial recognition engine, which is already used by more than 200 brands around the world.
Companies interested in YouCam for Web can try it out for a free 30-day trial before committing to a subscription.
“The implementation of virtual try-ons has completely reimagined the way consumers shop for cosmetics and we are so excited to create a self-service platform that will expand YouCam beauty tech solutions to even more brands,” said Perfect Corp CEO and founder, Alice Chang, in a release. “SaaS is the way of the future and YouCam for Web helps to cater to the growing needs of beauty tech solutions across all budgets.”
Perfect Corp is the creator of the award-winning YouCam Makeup and YouCam Perfect apps, as well as YouCam Video. Since launching in 2025, the developer has partnered with industry giants including Ulta, L’Oréal and Cosmopolitan.
The Taiwanese company claims that by integrating makeup try-on technology into their e-commerce websites, retailers increase consumer confidence and can boost their user engagement, click-through-rate, and sales conversions, while also reducing returns.
Perfect Corp will be demonstrating the YouCam for Web service at Cosmoprof North America in Las Vegas from July 28 through 30.
