Cyclewear brand Presca Sportswear has joined independent online ethical fashion retail site Wolf & Badger. This means the entire Presca range is now available on the platform, joining “the world’s best independent brands” on the site “renowned for finding the newest up-and-coming brands”.
With the addition of Presca, it also gives Wolf & Badger a gateway into new categories, becoming the first cycling brand for the retailer, it noted.
Presca Sportswear, claims to be the world's first climate-positive sportswear company, “leading the way for brands by taking a new approach to the fashion industry and beyond”.
Already a well-established brand in the teamwear space for cycling, running and triathlon, Presca has dressed Olympians and world champions.
Presca was founded by sports environmentalist Rob Webbon and triathlete Guy Whitby. The pair noted that the clothing industry has historically been the cause of 10% of the world's carbon emissions and over 20% of water pollution, with less than 1% of clothing ever being truly recycled, sportswear included. Their mission is to change this “by doing 100% good through their creation of the most environmentally conscious sportswear”.
Its creative director Lily Rice said: “It feels extremely fitting to partner with [Wolf & Badger] as the first B Corp certified marketplace in the UK and become part of their community of ethical brands. It’s especially impactful to be able to create new categories and lead the way in offering more options to their conscious consumers.”
