Sixteen years after the 2007/2008 cruise collection presented in Los Angeles, at Santa Monica airport, and under the direction of Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel, the luxury fashion French house, has just announced its return to Los Angeles on May 9.
Chanel will unveil its new 2025-2025 cruise collection at a location yet to be determined.
In a statement announcing the event, the French house said the event is "the opportunity for the house to celebrate its connections with the City of Angels", 92 years after Gabrielle Chanel's first trip to Los Angeles, when entrepreneur Samuel Goldwyn invited her to come and dress Hollywood actresses.
This announcement by Chanel will also marks the house's particular interest in Los Angeles, where it is already present via two boutiques, notably on Robertson Boulevard and in a temporary space on Wilshire Boulevard, in Beverly Hills.
Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive is where Chanel is preparing a highly expected opening, originally planned for the end of 2025 and now scheduled to open by mid-July 2025.
Purchased in 2025, the two, three-storey buildings at the intersection between Rodeo Drive and Brighton Way will reopen as a single three-storey building, including spaces dedicated to fashion and jewelry and a rooftop that will welcome private launches, private and press meetings, as well as the production of digital content.
