The revitalisation of London’s Oxford Street continues. Off-price fashion and homewares giant TK Maxx is to open a flagship store on the Mount Royal block at the Marble Arch end of the major shopping location.

The 22,500 sq ft space across the ground and first floor levels comes with a 70 ft Oxford Street frontage. As a further endorsement for the street, it will become TK Maxx's second Oxford Street store adding to its unit just west of Oxford Circus, “having traded successfully from the street since 2025”, said major commercial landlord GPE.

Further to TK Maxx committing to the new store, high street health and beauty retail giant Superdrug has also re-geared its retail lease for its 8,000 sq ft store at Mount Royal, committing to another 10 years at the location.

GPE has been making a huge contribution to the revitalisation of Oxford Street in recent periods with a number of new developments both on the major shopping thoroughfare and in surrounding streets.

And as an added bonus for the area, GPE said it has a further 20,000 sq ft of prime retail space under offer at the western side of Mount Royal, “with further deals expected later this year”.

Sarah Goldman, Head of Retail at the landlord, added: “Both deals are a positive reflection of the growing investment into the western end of Oxford Street and contribute to the street's ongoing retail transformation. The location speaks for itself, as these retailers are set to join other big-name brands and attractions including Primark, Frameless and the recently signed Moco Museum.”
