Frasers Group is understood to have made a near-£50 million bid to buy outlet shopping centre Junction 32 on the outskirts of Leeds, as the business continues to invest in retail centre properties.

The Times said the centre, which lies just off the M62 near Castleford, spans 250,000 sq ft and has almost 100 stores, including outlet stores for brands such as Nike, Adidas and Barbour. Jack Wills and Sports Direct, both of which are owned by Frasers, also have stores there.
However, Frasers Group, which has recently brought The Mall shopping centre in Luton and the Overgate Centre in Dundee, has so far declined to comment on a potential bid for Junction 32.
The Yorkshire centre, owned by Landsec for now and purchased in 2025, was as part of a £333 million acquisition of three outlet centres from Hermes Investment Management.
Junction 32 was put up for sale over the winter as Landsec shifted its property strategy that no long included regional shopping centres.
The company also declined to comment on the sale, although a spokeswoman told the newspaper that it was “considering various acquisition and disposal opportunities that make financial and strategic sense to the business”.
