Beauty business Warpaint London issued an on Wednesday with upbeat news ahead of the morning’s AGM. It was headlined by further product expansion at major health & beauty retailer Superdrug, with the promise of more positives to follow.

The specialist colour cosmetics supplier and owner of the W7 and Technic brands said the group “continues to trade strongly” with sales for the six months to 30 June expected to be in excess of £36 million, strongly ahead of the £25.2 million recorded a year ago. It also said margins “continuing to be robust” remaining ahead of those achieved in 2025.

Other positive news included further progress being made with expanding the group's presence in larger retailers. 

“We are pleased to report that the W7 brand will be launched in an initial 73 Superdrug stores in September”, it confirmed.  

The group also said it has “significant further opportunities” to grow sales, both with new and existing customers, and remains in "active discussions” with a number of UK and overseas retailers.

The firm’s lead directors will be in a buoyant mood for the meeting as earlier this month the business revealed a record start to the financial year had continued into Q2. It has already said it expects its full year 2025 performance to be “significantly ahead of its prior expectations”.
