On Friday, France's ANDAM (National Association for the Development of the Fashion Arts) unveiled its 30th edition's 13 finalists, and the likes of Coperni, Hed Mayner, Koché, and Kwaidan Editions are among the selection that the jury's 27 members have nominated for the €250,000 prize.
The hotly anticipated list of finalists for the 30th edition of the ANDAM award has just been revealed. The 27 members of the jury, among which are Kering Group CEO François-Henri Pinault, OTB President Renzo Rosso, Vogue Paris Editor-in-Chief Emmanuelle Alt, and designer Martin Margiela, have selected 13 finalists who are now competing for the award's four prizes.
"This year's selection of ANDAM finalists was particularly diverse and interesting, not uniformed by a single market trend or too business-driven. And it was very international and culturally rich. I am looking forward to meeting the chosen finalists and to listening to their vision. No matter who the final winner will be, just being in this selection is a great chance of exposure and exchange for them," explains Renzo Rosso in a statement.
Specifically, Coperni (Arnaud Vaillant and Sébastien Meyer), Koché (Christelle Kocher), Hed Mayner, and Kwaidan Editions (Léa Dickely and Hung La) will be competing for the Grand Prize (which comes with a cool €250,000 endowment); the Creative Label Prize will be awarded to either Boramy Viguier, Dawei (Dawei Sun), or Nicolas Lecourt Mansion; while the Accessories Prize will be disputed between Fabrizio Viti, KARA (Sarah Law), and Khaore (Wei Hung Chen and Raiheth Rawla).
As for the Fashion Innovation Prize, nominees are Ananas Anam (Dr Carmen Hijosa), Diam Concept (Alix Gicquel) and Worn Again Technologies (Dr Adam Walker et Cyndi Rhoades).
All finalists are invited to present their project to the jury on June 27, in order to potentially take home one of the much-coveted prizes.
