Harvey Nichols Leeds is fast-approaching its 25th birthday. And to mark the Yorkshire department store’s silver anniversary, it’s hosting of series of special events, competitions and promotions on and around the key 23 October date.
The opening of the store a quarter of a century ago was an important recognition of the size of the luxury market outside of London and was the store’s first move outside of the UK capital.
Celebrations kicked off with a night of beauty trends, tips and tricks showcasing the latest brands and hero products. Customers have been given the chance to win a £1,000 spend-in-store.
Headlining the celebrations, the store will also host an all-day shopping event on Saturday with complimentary drinks tastings, live DJ sets and party food pop-ups throughout the store.
Manju Malhotra, CEO Harvey Nichols, said: “Shortly before I joined the company, the announcement came that Harvey Nichols Leeds would become the first store to open outside of London. This visionary approach, recognising opportunity in regional cities, made front page news and it swiftly became our foothold in the north, paving the way for a further six Harvey Nichols stores across Britain and Ireland, along with six internationally.”
He added: “As the Leeds store continues to enjoy its position as the ultimate retail and dining destination in the city, we would like to thank our store team and our customers for their years of loyal custom.”
