H&M has unveiled a new initiative that it said should “help open more doors and boost confidence in a job interview”. Its One/Second/Suit is an H&M Man suit rental service "so anyone attending a job interview can make a powerful first impression”.

It said the suits will be "completely free for 24 hours”.
The company said that its research reveals it only takes one second for potential employers to assess a candidate based on their first impressions. And it added that the new service “will tackle this bias by ensuring the potential inside isn't overlooked because of what's on the outside”.
The service launches in the UK on April 15 and in the US from May 13. It will run during a test period so that the company can gauge demand.
It also launches with what the retailer said is a “stirring and evocative film” by critically acclaimed American director Mark Romanek. He’s best known for psychological feature film One Hour Photo starring Robin Williams. His music videos have also earned him more than 20 MTV Video Music Awards and three Grammy Awards.
The film captures “the nerve and self-doubt we all face on interview day. An emotional call from mum gives the diverse cast a much needed pep talk and the confidence they need to seize the opportunity”.
