International womenswear brand Maksu has launched in the UK with a Mayfair, London, flagship store alongise a dedicated online store.

Featuring the brand's contemporary styles, spanning ready-to-wear, accessories and footwear, the collections are inspired by the Mediterranean.
With its vivid colours, we're told Maksu “offers an elevated take on bohemian style with relaxed, versatile pieces for the everyday wardrobe and occasion wear dressing, including printed dresses, co-ords, feminine tailoring and blouses all crafted with intricate detail and quality fabrics sourced in Europe”.
The brand will launch four seasonal limited edition collections in the UK a year with prices ranging from £85-£460.
The 23 Bruton Street store “will bring a taste of Mediterranean warmth to London” that also features the Maksu Café, located on the top floor.
The dual entrance store, which measures 300 sq m across three floors, has been designed by Ciszak Dalmas Studio and Matteo Ferrari. The expansive flagship “embodies the essence of Maksu’s craftsmanship with its architecture taking inspiration from “purity and minimal refinement” via ceramics, limestone and clay, emphasised by natural light from the glazed roof that takes centre stage.
Complementing the store’s aesthetic is a selection of vintage furniture from the regions of Northern Spain, sourced in London, again paying homage to the brand’s Mediterranean heritage.
The store is also a showcase of artworks by emerging female artists via a dedicated exhibition, “spotlighting the artists who champion artisanal techniques and materials, particularly in textile design”.
With a "strong presence in Europe", the brand’s London debut “marks a significant expansion”, bringing the Mediterranean spirit to an international audience for the first time, according to founder Mehmet Aksu, who added that the launch coincides with the introduction of its spring collection, “just as the season arrives in London.”
