American premium denim and fashion brand Paige has opened its first international retail store with a debut on key London shopping street, the Kings Road in Chelsea.
The actual address is 14 Duke of York Square (part of the Cadogan estate) and it will showcase the brand’s complete collection. It debuts with the Fall 23 lifestyle offer that includes the signature denim, as well as knits, wovens, outerwear, leather goods, footwear, sunglasses, and maternity.
The store is the label’s largest retail location to date and will also offer a wide variety of styles that will be exclusives within the UK.
As well as the main offer, there’s a VIP Styling Lounge, a private shopping area with a lounge, a coffee bar and private dressing rooms, providing personalised style consultations and a private outlet for press appointments. Additionally, a hemming and alterations service will be available off-site.
With a total area of 3,592 square feet, the London store covers two floors, with women’s collections on the upper level and men’s on the lower level, complete with nine fitting rooms throughout.
The space was designed by co-founder creative director Paige Adams-Geller and her creative team.
It features arched windows and high ceilings as well as sleek black metal fixtures throughout the space.
There’s also a focus on “warmth and cosiness” and to enhance the ambience, the walls are uplit, “which infuses depth into the otherwise pristine white walls”.
Sustainability-wise, the original all-glass storefront was maintained, which also allows for plenty of natural light in the store.
There’s also an infusion of “colour and vitality” via the “thoughtfully placed furnishings”, with “inviting spaces for customers to relax and rejuvenate during their shopping experience”.
The decision to open this first store in London “is a testament to the brand’s strong ties to the city and the profound influence it has on Paige Adams-Geller’s design aesthetic,” we’re told.
“London, with its cutting-edge fashion scene, diverse shopping experiences, rock and roll energy, and captivating architecture, has long been a wellspring of inspiration for Paige. Her frequent visits to the city have not only fuelled her creativity but have also played a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s distinctive style,” the company said.
It added that the opening “foreshadows even more exciting developments on the international stage, as the brand continues to evolve while remaining dedicated to the craftsmanship it is known for”.
