Andrey Neznamov, managing director of the human-centered AI center of Sberbank CJSC, chairman of the Russian National Commission for the introduction of the code of ethics in the AI sector, says that technologies are constantly developing, bringing with them changes that become common after a while. For example, if people used to travel long distances by horse, later the car and other means of transport were created, and people started moving with them. Of course, many people remained unemployed in the field of horse breeding, because there was no previous demand, and began to specialize in other fields, which, according to him, is natural, because development brings changes with it.

"Artificial intelligence is becoming an integral part of our lives, and it is often quite difficult to respond to the changes that AI brings with it," he said, adding that, in his opinion, AI is an ally, not a competitor.

He mentioned that specific professions are disappearing, people are losing their jobs, and in some cases this is really inevitable. "After that, it's very simple to do: does a person update his knowledge or not?" Does it take a new tool or not? It's not a competition with AI, it's a competition between people who start using AI and those who don't,” he said.

Science fiction writer, IT specialist Eldar Safinsays that everything depends on the settings, because the same car, bus or other means of transport, which are the product of the development of science, apart from benefiting people, they also have negative aspects, or can be used for bad purposes. For example, thousands of people die in car accidents every year, or the same cars are used in different crimes, or people commit traffic violations.

"Sometimes we talk about small things, small violations, but when we talk about AI, it has a much bigger scale. AI can affect the whole world, and sometimes we may not know about it. There may be one violation, but the consequences will be big," he said.

Iridium OJSC chief designer Igor Koptelovsays that how advanced science is, its fruits can be so good and at the same time terrible, especially if they end up in the hands of the wrong people. As an example, he cites nuclear weapons and nuclear energy, when energy benefits humanity, and weapons cause destruction.

According to him, AI is a great helper today and contributes to the development of various fields, starting from medicine and ending with cloud services, this is an undeniable fact, but everything depends on the purpose for which it is used. Specifically, their company uses AI to optimize the process of deploying virtual machines in cloud services, and using AI allows up to 30% savings.

Koptelov also mentioned that in their company, in the next stage, they will already apply AI in the direction of reducing or reducing the human participation in these processes to zero. Observing that it is also bad news for the professionals who are doing this work today, because they will be fired, Koptelov said that this is natural, because everything changes, some professions disappear and new ones appear. new ones, and people have to adapt to new realities. According to him, there is no question of competition here, science is developing, life is changing, it was like that in all stages of history, just now everything is happening a little faster.

According to Igor Koptelov, AI is used in a number of fields in one way or another. "It is no longer possible to give up on it, but it is necessary to control it," he said.

Science fiction writer Eldar Safindisagrees that there is no competition with the advent of AI. Nevertheless, he believes that in the long run, AI will be an ally for man, but a competitor for mankind. "Because now we are solving AI tasks that we can. And in the future, with the help of AI, we will solve the tasks that we can give to AI, but we cannot perform, and AI can. Imagine that a person is in a situation where a tool is smarter than him. It is good that there are rules, it is good that these rules are followed. But will everyone always follow those rules?" he said, adding that he doesn't think so.

Futurologist, engineer José Luis Cordeirosays that such a discussion is pointless, because AI has been a reality for a long time and everything will actually be very good, another thing is that some people may not like the changes brought by AI. However, it is not important, because life will go on regardless of everything without those people.

"AI will not be stopped, it will no longer be possible to go back. Who wants to go back to a world where there are no mobile phones, cars, trains, planes? José Cordeiro stated that he is not afraid of AI, instead he is afraid of the stupid things that people do and can do, he is afraid of people who avoid changes, cling to the past and do not want to move forward.

"AI is the best invention of mankind. It is what will push us forward into the future, will solve all the problems that we have not yet solved. For example, why is there poverty, hunger, wars, etc. today, because we are stupid? When we become smarter, we will already live in a world that will be better, richer, cleaner, more peaceful. And for that we need more intelligence," he said, adding that humanity should use AI to make the world a better place.

Igor Chubarov, Director of the School of Meta-disciplinary Competences, Vice-Rector of Tyumen State University, Director of the Cultural Studies Department of the Moscow Institute of Psychoanalysis, considers it natural that AI causes a number of concerns among people, because in many cases it directly affects people's lives. Nevertheless, according to him, it is necessary to help people to accept the changes brought by AI and adapt to the new realities.

Chubarov believes that AI is an ally for those who already use AI to some extent and makes some positive observations about the limitations of this technology and offers options for its development. "And it is a competitor for those who feel that they are losing their place, positions in the fields of science, creativity, and management and feel that they have to update their knowledge," he said, adding that for many it is a serious problem. because people tend to work in areas where they have relevant knowledge and some experience and actually avoid change.

According to him, it is important to properly build relations with AI technologies. with conviction, a person should participate in the activities of application, training, and development of AI at his level, and those fears related to this will no longer be relevant. According to him, a person has such characteristics, for example, the ability to create, thanks to which AI can never replace a person in all areas.

According to Andrey Doudrich, head of the social research and consulting department of the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (ВЦИОМ), before deciding whether AI is a person's ally or competitor, one must first understand what it is, and AI is a tool. which everyone should learn to use correctly.
