The Nautica brand makes a UK and Europe comeback this Tuesday “with a fresh new look and reimagined nautical style, continuing its vision to bring the inspiration of the sea to everyday style across the world”.

Focus Brands Group is handling the UK debut.
The revamp for the master brand blends fashion with classic pieces, but it’s also relaunching the younger Nautica Competition label, described as “a new era of fashion taking the essence and spirit of Nautica to a new generation”. Designs for the label have a more street edge and are influenced by “competitive sailing with a more urban spin”.
Both Nautica and its Competition label have been given a style refresh by Head of Design Tim Peck.
“We are excited to launch Nautica and Nautica Competition directly to consumers and via retailers to the UK market”, said Focus’s Head of Marketing Jennie Bianco. “We pride ourselves on providing our customers products that are trend-led at an attainable price point. Alongside a new website, both new collections are modern, functional, and stylish.”
Prices for Nautica Competition start at £22 with both brands being available on their own websites (Nautica.com.eu and Nauticacompetition.eu, as well as on ASOS).
Taking inspiration from classical nautical colour blocking, the new offering from Nautica is “bold yet sophisticated. It incorporates modern styles such as bucket hats whilst keeping its authentic Nautica style with windbreakers and swim shorts”. There are also varsity-style sweaters and co-ords.
Nautica Competition meanwhile fuses “nautical style with streetwear, the new collection brings a refreshed take on the sailing heritage behind the brand”.
The collection features “logos, colour blocking and bold designs” and also focuses on “up-and-coming trends such as sporty co-ords, polo dresses and brighter colours”.
