Major Asian distributor Bluebell Group has announced a new partnership with luxury leather goods maker Wandler, bringing the Dutch label to Japan.

In a press release on Friday, the partnership, in collaboration with Bluebell Japan, was described as a "new chapter" for Wandler, and is "significant for both parties, blending Wandler’s aesthetic with Bluebell Japan’s market expertise."
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“The only way to conquer a market like Japan is with a local specialist," said Joost Doeswijk, Wandler COO. "We couldn't have dreamed for a better partner than Bluebell Japan to help grow Wandler in the Japanese market.”
Elza Wandler launched her namesake brand in late 2025. Born in Limburg, Netherlands, Wandler studied fashion at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. After having worked for a major global fashion brand, she took her design, merchandising and branding experience to launch her namesake brand, making her debut with the curved top-handled Hortensia bag in three sizes. Today, the designer has extended her collection to offer a range of bag and now shoes.
“Wandler’s exceptional craftsmanship and functional luxurious designs promise to bring a fresh option to Japanese consumers. We look forward to a successful partnership with Wandler," said Serge Grebert, Bluebell Japan president.
Founded in 1954, Bluebell Group's distribution network includes flagship stores, shop-in-shops, counters, its own multi- brand concepts, as well as a highly selective wholesale network, together with both direct e-commerce and marketplaces, covering both domestic and travel retail.
Today, it is present in Japan, South Korea, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia and Australia, and operates accessories, footwear, apparel, fragrance, beauty, gourmet, jewellery, watches, and tobacco.
