The Spanish fashion brand is expanding its product offer with the launch of its first complete jewellery collection. The owner and founder of the Barcelona-based company, Thomas Meyer, has entrusted his own daughter, Gala Meyer, to lead this venture.

"This project has been an honor and has allowed me to become aware of the enormous influence that Desigual has had on me. I grew up at the same time as the brand. Its messages and history are embedded in me. Thomas Meyer has played a crucial role in my personal development and has taught me a lot," she said of her relationship with the iconic brand and her father, the founder of the bold and colorful label that revolutionized the Spanish fashion scene in the 1980s.
The creative artist, who graduated from Bennington College in the United States with a degree in visual arts, began experimenting with jewellery when she became a mother and soon after launched her solo brand, Zalio. Upon "discovering her daughter's talent," Meyer immediately asked her to develop a complete collection for the brand founded in 1984.
According to the company, this new line "consolidates the brand's commitment to quality and different and bold designs that allow those who choose to wear them to express their personality."
Gala worked hand in hand with Desigual's product department and marketing team to create the new jewellery line.
Composed of 57 pieces of jewellery coated in 18-karat gold or sterling silver, the "genderless" collection includes rings, earrings, choker-style necklaces and bracelets. Inspired by the idea of love, the jewellery aims to evoke the "malleable nature" of human beings and features melting heart-shaped details or passionate phrases in Spanish, such as "Amar hasta arder" or "Deshacerse amando".

Available both in the brand's online store and in a selection of four physical locations in Spain (in Desigual's Madrid store on Preciados Street and in its flagship store in Plaza Catalunya Barcelona, in the Passeig de Mare Nostrum store and in the Barcelona airport T1), the collection features pieces with prices ranging from 59.95 to 129 euros.
Founded in Barcelona in 1984, Desigual is a global company with a presence in 109 countries through a physical retail network of 393 mono-brand stores, 10 sales channels and six product categories. With more than 2,600 employees, the company closed its 2025 financial year with a 3.4% growth in turnover to 371 million euros.
