French private equity firm Experienced Capital Partners is extremely active in the fashion industry, having recently added to its portfolio by acquiring a minority stake in French womenswear label Sessùn, and has now appointed a new Investment Director. The firm's founders, Frédéric Biousse, Elie Kouby and Emmanuel Pradère, have chosen finance specialist Alban Gérard for the top job.
Before joining the firm's team of accessible luxury, fashion and lifestyle industry experts, Gérard worked as a consultant from 2009 to 2025 at the Paris and London offices of Blackstone. He then joined private equity firm Bridgepoint as Investment Director, before taking on the same role at Experienced Capital Partners last May.
Working alongside the firm's founders and its operational team, Alban Gérard will support the brands which Experienced Capital Partners has backed since its creation in early 2025, as well as leveraging his mergers and acquisition expertise in evaluating new investment opportunities.
The brand portfolio of Experienced Capital Partners currently includes Sessùn, Balibaris, Soeur, Maison Standards, Le Slip Français, Figaret and Jimmy Fairly. The French investment company currently has a purse of €78 million at its disposal, and is ready to spend on new equity participations in the coming months to add to its portfolio, as General Manager Emmanuel Pradère told Fashion Network on 2nd June, in an interview available on Fashion Network Premium.
