Roberto Cavalli is changing partners for its new line. The Swinger group International, owner of the label Genny, will now produce and distribute the Just Cavalli line that was previously managed under license by Staff International, the production company of Renzo Rosso’s OTB group. The group had taken over from Ittierre in 2011, which had been developing the line since 1998.

The license contract with Staff International came to an end and was not renewed. Roberto Cavalli decided to opt for a new arrangement. The luxury house specifies that it is a partnership and not a license, the plan being that Swinger International manages the retail distribution directly as well as the new Just Cavalli website. Currently, there is only one store for the line, located in the Porta Nuova district of Milan.

As part of the multi-year partnership, Swinger International will manage Just Cavalli's wholesale network for multi-brand customers. It will also handle "the production of ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories and footwear collections for both men and women.

The partnership will begin with the Spring/Summer 2025 collection being “designed by an in-house Roberto Cavalli design team and developed by Swinger International” points out the label, acquired in 2025 by Emiratis billionaire Hussain Sajwani, founder and president of real estate giant Damac Properties.

Swinger had already worked with the luxury house in the past, as managing licensee for the Cavalli Class line, which has since then been discontinued. As well as its pret-a-porter brand Genny, the group also manages under license the Versace Jeans Couture line and the Chiara Ferragni Collection.

The idea is to expand the Just Cavalli line “starting from its already consolidated markets such as Europe, the Middle East and the United States, to focus in a second phase on Asian countries,” said the company.

"We have great plans for Just Cavalli, which embodies the younger, contemporary and urban spirit of our offer, strengthening our presence in global markets with a broad and thorough proposal," explains Roberto Cavalli's CEO, Ennio Fontana, in a statement, displaying an ambitious goal. "In four years, we expect to increase Just Cavalli's turnover to 80 million euros," he said.
