Reiss has opened a new flagship store in a key regional site. The premium international fashion brand becomes centre:mk's latest big-name addition.

It also joins a raft of fashion brand opening at the Milton Keynes mall in the last 12 months, including Mango, H&M, Ted Baker and Charles Tyrwhitt.

The 1,884 sq ft Reiss store, situated on the mall’s premium Silbury Arcade, features the brand’s collection of menswear, womenswear, accessories, and childrenswear.

Its minimalist interior combines bleached wood and metallic fixtures. Co-designed by the brand’s creative director James Spreckley and D-Raw Architects, the store “reflects the brand’s reputation as a modern fashion house, featuring sustainable materials and design”.

Kevin Duffy, centre:mk’s Centre Director, said: “Continually outperforming benchmarks for footfall and conversion to sales, and with one of the strongest anchor brand line-ups in the UK, centre:mk continues to prove to be a destination of choice for leading UK and international brands. Reiss’s decision to launch a key regional store at centre:mk reflects our reputation as a dominant destination in the UK.”

Last week, UK high street fashion giant Next boosted its control of Reiss, buying a sizeable holding from its fellow owner, the American investment company Warburg Pincus.

It paid £128 million to increase its ownership to 72% from 51% and at the same time, the Reiss family’s holding will increase to 22% of the business. Reiss management holds the rest of the shares.
