Fashion-sport brand Lacoste is to open a vintage pop-up space in London’s Shoreditch in recognition of the brand’s 90th anniversary, and specifically celebrating its history and well-known Crocodile logo.

To ensure this history is highlighted in the pop-up authentically, Lacoste has partnered with vintage resale brand Wavey Garms and enlisted its founder and dedicated Lacoste fan Andres Branco to source and curate the vintage Lacoste offer at the pop-up.
The space, open between 14-26 September at the Truman Brewery, will house over 400 vintage pieces from tracksuits, to polos and runway pieces, priced £50-£350.
Alongside the “vintage haul”, Wavey Garms has curated a series of activations in-store, including a dubplate cutting machine and workshop day with women’s DJ collective EQ50. Rinse FM will be in residency for the duration, with a curated schedule of live performances in-store across the two weeks.
Inspired by the brand’s links with the former Hacienda, and reinterpreted with Lacoste neon green, the space features bespoke graffiti by UK tagging artists Tox, Petro and Henry Hotrocc.
Lacoste has also teamed up with each artist to co-create 30 limited edition polos each, which will be sold on the first weekend.
And in a nod to the brand’s close affinity with rave and music subculture, it has also teamed up with platform Resident Advisor (RA) to discover electronic music, artists and events on a four-part content series to kickstart the campaign.
Working with Alewya, Josh Caffé, Nightmares on Wax and re:ni, four artists in the electronic music space, Lacoste and RA will tell their stories through film and showcase their creative process, their impact on the UK music scene and what Lacoste signifies to them.
