The John Lewis Partnership has begun a major recruitment drive to find more than 10,000 temporary staff across the UK. This will include 8,400 additional seasonal roles for this Christmas.
It includes over 2,900 temporary roles in its 34 John Lewis stores across sales and merchandising positions.
The roles reflect its strong omnichannel presence with vacancies in its John Lewis stores, Waitrose supermarkets and across its distribution network. This includes 2,700 seasonal roles throughout the supply chain including warehouse operatives and drivers to deliver to customers.
In addition to the seasonal temporary jobs, a further 1,700 positions will be available across both Waitrose and John Lewis in a variety of roles over the coming months.
Successful candidates “will receive a competitive salary and training, with the potential for development opportunities”, JLP said.
John Lewis will launch its Christmas shop online on 31 August and in-store on 27 September.
