Located at 416 Columbus Ave, the 891-square-foot store brings a touch of Provence to the heart of New York City. Authentic Provençal elements can be found throughout the store including archways reminiscent of those throughout southern France and terracotta herringbone tiles.

L’Occitane has also introduced new features for a more personalized shopping experiences, like a mobile point-of-sale (POS) system and curated services such as mini-facials, hand massages, skin analysis, complimentary gift wrapping, as well as remote private shopping sessions with a beauty host.

"We are very excited to expand our presence in New York City through the opening of this boutique, in the heart of such an iconic neighborhood," said Yann Tanini, managing director of L’Occitane North America.

"This store offers a distinctive experience, immersing visitors in the essence of L’Occitane's origins. It encapsulates everything that makes our brand exceptional—the sense of community, the rich heritage of Provence, and the passionate people who bring our products to life."

The Upper West Side location is part of L’Occitane’s broader expansion in the Tri-state area, with five new concept boutiques set to open this fall. These include a new boutique at Belmont Village in Long Island and remodeled stores on Madison Avenue in Manhattan, Newark International Airport, and Short Hills, New Jersey.
