Women’s activewear brand Sweaty Betty is to open a new store at the successful West Country shopping destination Cribbs Mall.
Opening on the centre’s upper level, the 1,714 sq ft unit will feature the brand’s new concept design to become a key destination for leggings and sports bras, featuring “soft and welcoming” newly-designed fitting rooms.
Centre operators M&G Real Estate and Pradera Lateral said the high-profile arrival of Sweaty Betty is testament to Cribbs Mall’s success and it enjoyed “a bumper 2025” with over 110,000 sq ft of leasing activity, “taking the occupancy rate to nearly 100%”.
New lettings in the period included Victoria’s Secret, Mango and Charles Tyrwhitt while 28 retailers renewed their leases, including Fat Face and Boots.
Earlier this year, Phase Eight also opened its new expanded 4,146 sq ft store.
“The presence of these established brands helped footfall grow by 8% over 2025, helping it maintain its position as one of the South West’s leading attractions”, M&G said.
Scott Linard, Portfolio Director at M&G Real Estate, added: “As the centre approaches full occupancy, it has been great to welcome several big-name brands over the past 12 months as we continue to add to the diverse retail offering.”
