According to Rebag's 'Clair Report' for 2025, Telfar retained an average of 228% of its retail value. Hermès handbags continued to top the list, retaining 110% of its retail value for the fourth year.

Fendi climbed 4% in 2025, supported by styles like the Baguette, the First, and the Sunshine Shopper. Louis Vuitton's iconic Neverfull, after introducing a waitlist, climbed 8% to an impressive 136% average value retention.

Meanwhile, Celine, Prada, and Valentino stayed resilient throughout 2025, maintaining their retention value despite challenging macroeconomic conditions.

On the accessories side, Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe emerged as standout watch performers, with increases of 41% and 14%, respectively. Cartier also proved to be an investment-worthy watch label, with the Must de Cartier Tank and Tank Solo boasting 95% and 94% average value retention, respectively.

In terms of trends, 'quiet luxury' led to understated elegance taking center stage, with brands like The Row, Loewe, and Bottega Veneta flourishing, boasting impressive value retention.

The power of 'Barbie Pink' was equally strong with pink handbags notably retaining an average value of 81%, surpassing the average value retention for all other colors combined.

Lastly, featured prominently in the 'SATC' reboot, Fendi experienced a significant increase in average value retention for Peekaboo and Baguette bags.

"2025 welcomed several interesting shifts in the luxury resale market", said Charles Gorra, CEO and founder of Rebag.

"This year's Clair Report illuminates the impact of primary market scarcity and price increases on resale value, pop culture's influence on value retention, and the continued growth of the second-hand watch market, among other key data points. We hope these valuable insights provide transparency and inspire confidence in consumers making luxury purchases."
