Next stop on Rains’ ambitious European expansion agenda is Ireland. The Danish outerwear lifestyle brand has debuted in Dublin in the heart of the city’s fashion hub on Wicklow Street.

Featuring its latest collections for spring/summer 2025 across outerwear, bags and accessories, the space replicates the brand’s unique store concept. That means “evoking the Rains DNA mixing industrial and architectural elements throughout”, designed by long-time collaborative partner, artist Jacob Egeberg.

From custom lighting specifically designed for the store to stainless steel hardware, “the space is the ultimate destination for weather-ready outfitting”.

The latest store becomes its Irish market flagship and 26th location worldwide.

Following a strong growth trajectory for the business over the last 12 months, the 2025 focus on Europe and North America includes an additional eight stores including New York, Stockholm, Paris and Milan.

The company has also focused heavily on the UK and last summer, the brand, which specialises in wet-weather outerwear and accessories, opened another store in London’s popular Spitalfields area. That became its third store in London, including Coal Drops Yard in Kings Cross, and Seven Dials in tourist hub Covent Garden.

The expansion of the brand is further evidence of the bounce-back seen in physical retail over the past year or so. After a sluggish comeback from the pandemic bricks-and-mortar stores have been embraced by consumers and that’s led to high demand for space in key neighbourhoods in the busy cities globally.
