Another month, another new name above the 12 Piccadilly Arcade pop-up store. Design studio TSAU is the latest business to take up the temporary space for just one month, in an ongoing scheme to give fledgling businesses much needed physical retail exposure.

TSAU (an acronym for The Space Around Us) is the brainchild of founders Bevan Agyemang and Khalid Wildman, whose business "references the various cultural elements the two witnessed while growing up in London… via an exploration of restoring a connection to nature through clothing and objects”.
Creative director Agyemang said TSAU “is committed to working with different communities on projects through an exploration of cultural anthropology”. Pieces are created, often taking inspiration from artisanal techniques and illustrating unconventional ideals and elaborate fantasy worlds, he noted.
The latest capsule collection on show at the unit is “told through a set of images dedicated to family and bringing hope to communities… combined with a desire to celebrate and authentically represent those from marginalised communities”.
During its one-month stay, TSAU will be also be producing a series of rotating events and workshops.
12 Piccadilly Arcade is a partnership scheme between Westminster City Council, landlord GPE, Heart of London Business Alliance and Appear Here, using vacant retail space to enable small-scale businesses, homegrown brands and emerging creative talent to showcase in a bricks & mortar store in Central London.
