The seventh season of Toronto Men's Fashion Week (TOM*) has officially kicked off.
Several events as part of TOM* Talks will commence the fashion week festivities including a one one on talk with Joe Mimran, the brand founder of Joe Fresh, Pink Tartan, and Club Monaco, while runway shows will begin on Friday.

"I'm ecstatic and proud that we are coming into our 7th season of TOM*," said Jeff Rustia, Founder & CEO of Canada Fashion Group and Executive Director of TOM*, in a news statement.
"Launching a men-focused fashion week seemed like a far fetch idea a few years back, but its phenomenal success today is a testament that Toronto and Canada stand strongly behind the menswear industry and Canadian emerging talent. This season is especially exciting as we boast a very robust and jam-packed schedule featuring over 25 of Canada's brightest menswear designers.”
James Adeyanju, the designer behind JMtrends will kick off the runway schedule on Friday at 6 pm, followed by TOM* veteran Joseph Helmer from Montreal at 7 pm, Xian at 8 pm, Hip and Bone at 9 pm, and Kollar at 10 pm.
On Saturday and Sunday returning brands Finezza will take the stage, as well as Shelli Oh, Tristan Licud and Hendrixoe. Meanwhile, designer Angela Farid from Ocean Rebel and Lucas Stowe from his self-titled label will hit the TOM* runway for the first time.
TOM’s charity fashion show will also be back and will take place on Saturday. Baptized MensFashion4Hope, notable celebrities such as award-winning director, Director X, actor, Kristian Bruun, Celebrity Chef, Massimo Capra and more have walked the stage in the past to raise money for the Kol Hope Foundation for Children.
The Emerging Menswear Designer Award, an annual national competition to find the best new talent in menswear, will also be making a return. Finalists who will showcase their designs include Kristian Nielsen, Luis Padilla, Nico Bilodeau and Rhowan James.
TOM* will be followed by the second season of Toronto Women's Fashion Week (TW), which is set to take place October 2 to the 7.
