With over twenty years of experience in the luxury sector, Shira Suveyke began her career at Ralph Lauren before moving on to J Crew and Macy's. She spent over 6 years in top positions at Yoox's Outnet platform. She has also served as brand president of Shopbop and today provides private consultancy as a board advisor, brand consultant, and operating partner.
Founded in 2002 in New York by designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, Proenza Schouler creates luxury womenswear which it sells through its flagship store in the Big Apple, located at 121 Greene Street, and in over 350 multi-brand retailers worldwide, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Harrods, Galeries Lafayette, and Printemps.
The brand was awarded the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund in 2004, before receiving five other CFDA awards, including the 2003 Swarovski Award for Ready-to-Wear, the 2009 Accessory Designer of the Year award, and the Womenswear Designer of the Year award in 2007, 2011, and 2025.
