London’s popular shopping destination Carnaby Street is partnering with Smart Works next month to support the UK charity’s mission of “empowering women who need help securing employment and changing the trajectory of their lives”.

Supported by the area’s landlord Shaftesbury Capital, Smart Works will open a retail pop-up at No 57 Carnaby Street following previously successful temporary stores in Covent Garden last year.
Running across 1-24 March to coincide with International Women’s Day, the pop-up will create an “experiential shopping experience" for visitors with a line-up of over 30 fashion, homewares, kidswear, accessory and beauty brands featuring discounts of up to 70%. All proceeds will go directly to the charity.
There will also be a variety of pieces donated from celebrities including Fearne Cotton, Dame Shirley Bassey, Grayson Perry and celebrity stylist Sinead.
The store will also stage a full schedule of panel talks and brand collaborations alongside the curated retail offer.
Kate Stephens, CEO of Smart Works said: “[Our] charity [is] built on the power of community, and harnessing fashion as a force for good to help women transform their lives. This is a belief we share with Carnaby Street and Shaftesbury Capital, and we are grateful to the team for giving us the opportunity to host the next Smart Works Pop Up Shop over a key moment in our year – International Women’s Day.”
