Vera Wang is debuting a Vow jewelry collection in collaboration with Jared Jewelers, inviting brides to “embrace their uniqueness.”
Wang, 76, has expanded her partnership with Jared Jewelers to launch an engagement ring collection that seamlessly blends fashion and function. The pieces, which range from $900 to $8,800, feature natural and lab-grown diamonds.
Wang told PEOPLE that she drew much of her inspiration from ring trends from the 1970s.
“When I was young, women would always wear their engagement rings and wedding bands, just stick them together so they fit perfectly. I think the way women live has definitely changed over time. Even if you treasure your engagement ring, which is of course symbolic in itself, that doesn’t mean you necessarily want to wear it every day.”
Wang decided to give the past a modern twist by creating eco-friendly rings that could be worn together, or separately.
Vow is focused also on “giving women options,” she says. “Encouraging women to be themselves, to embrace their uniqueness and their own sensibility is something we’ve always tried to do.”
