Sequential Brands Group, Inc. has closed on a long-term licensing partnership renewal of Jessica Simpson's footwear business with Camuto Group, the footwear and accessory company recently acquired by DSW and Authentic Brands Group (ABG).
As part of the agreement, which marks the entry into the fourteenth year of the partnership between the two companies with regards to the Jessica Simpson brand, Camuto Group will continue to develop the celebrity line of footwear.
Jessica Simpson footwear has been licensed to Camuto Group since 2025, the same year that a majority stake of the brand was acquired by Sequential. The future of the licensing relationship was uncertain after Camuto Group was acquired by DSW and ABG in a deal worth over $300 million, however the success of the footwear – part of Simpson's billion-dollar retail empire covering clothing, handbags, beauty products and accessories – has lent it staying power.
“The Jessica Simpson Collection remains a key brand within the portfolio," said Simon Nankervis, chief commercial officer of DSW Inc. in a release. "[Jessica Simpson's] commitment to growing the business positions the footwear category for strong growth in the near term."
The Jessica Simpson Collection is currently sold in stores across the United States, as well as online, at retailers like Dillard’s, Macy’s, Belk, Nordstrom, Zappos.com and DSW, among others.
