It looks like the 57-store trial for Primark’s click & collect scheme has been a success. The value fashion and lifestyle retail giant is rolling out the feature to all its 184 stores in England, Scotland and Wales, beginning later this year.

All stores in Great Britain will offer the service by the end of 2025, it said.
It’s a huge step forward for the retailer as far as online selling is concerned. It may not offer e-commerce as such but a universal UK click & collect service means it part-way there while still focusing heavily on its physical stores.
And alongside the expansion, Primark will also add new categories and products available to buy via click & collect, with men’s and selected home and lifestyle products and ranges to join the service that currently includes women’s and kids’ clothing and accessories.
Primark said the changes will be phased, with new products including home and lifestyle going live now, with men’s to follow.
In line with the initial trial, the product offer will be curated “to showcase the best of Primark, with more than 3,000 options made available to buy”.
Chief Executive Paul Marchant said: “Our trial over the last 18 months has been about understanding how we can offer our customers greater convenience to shop with us wherever they are, but in a way that complements our business and our stores.
“We’re now confident that we’ve found a model that can do both and support us with our plans to grow the business. The feedback from our customers has been positive as they really value the convenience our service offers and we’re also seeing it’s reaching new customers too.”
Meanwhile, Primark has hired three new highly-experienced executives to join its new-look strategic advisory board.
The trio includes ex-Sephora CEO Martin Brok, former Tesco and Gap executive Christophe Roussel and ex-Walmart president of digital and chief marketing officer Sona Chawla.
The execs will join a team led by Marchant and chaired by its outgoing finance director John Bason, according to Retail Week.
Primark’s parent company Associated British Foods (ABF) initially announced Bason’s retirement as well as the launch of a “newly constituted” strategic advisory board in 2025.
ABF CEO George Weston said Primark’s new board are expected to “add value” and bring external expertise to areas that would “be appreciated” by Marchant and the retailer’s team.
