Liverpool One operator Grosvenor has announced a strong start to the year with the relocation of teen fashion retailer Hollister Co next to its debuting sister brand Gilly Hicks. This latest commitment by the Abercrombie & Fitch Co sub-brands “showcases a strong vote of confidence in the destination, following successful 2025 results”, Grosvenor said.

Set to open this summer, Hollister will occupy a new space on South John Street while offering activewear and loungewear to Liverpool for the first time through its Gilly Hicks brand. This new combined space “will be one of the first of the new prototype stores in Europe, bringing the Abercrombie & Fitch Co brands under the same roof for the first time in the city”.
Rob Deacon, Senior Asset Manager at Grosvenor, said: “It is fantastic to see Hollister reaffirm its commitment to Liverpool One by moving into a newer space, as well as introducing its sub-brand Gilly Hicks. This deal is a testament to the momentum we are continuing to build at the destination and is particularly exciting given the new space will be one of the first model stores in Europe.”
The latest news follows a successful 2025 for Liverpool One, with 36 brands, totaling over 350,000 sq ft, signed, opened or renewed in the year, including M&S, Tessuti, Charlotte Tilbury, Cricket, Under Armour, and Bershka. New and existing occupiers invested £18 million in their new stores there while Liverpool One also exceeded UK footfall benchmarks by 19%, welcoming over 22 million visitors to the destination last year and boasting a 14.5% increase of sales compared to 2025.
Chris Jukes, Director of Liverpool One for Grosvenor, added: “Not only did we finished 2025 on a high, demonstrating incredible results, agility, and creativity in our approach, but to kick start the year announcing a new Hollister location and the introduction of Gilly Hicks, is a true testament to the great work we do."
