AMI Paris continues to forge stronger bonds with the Chinese market. Since Shanghai-based venture capital firm Sequoia Capital China acquired a majority stake in the company in 2025, the brand has significantly strengthened its presence in the region. To celebrate the launch of its newest store in Suzhou, situated 100 kilometers west of Shanghai, AMI Paris has announced a fashion show scheduled for April 10.

Spanning 322 square metres, the new retail space, which opened in November, is situated at 1 Cang Street, nestled within Suzhou's bustling Gusu district. To mark the occasion, the maison, under the creative direction of Alexandre Mattiussi, will showcase its Fall/Winter 2025-25 collection. Renowned for capturing the essence of "Parisian life and style," this collection will grace the historic Xiangmen city wall, an iconic backdrop within Suzhou, often hailed as "the Venice of China."
"Since our inception, China has played a pivotal role in AMI's history and success story. In 2025, Shanghai hosted AMI's first overseas fashion show," recalled Alexandre Mattiussi, explaining that "it was only natural for us to organize a replica of the Fall/Winter 2025 fashion show in China."
Undoubtedly, AMI Paris is making its mark across the Celestial Empire. November saw the unveiling of a pop-up store and three ephemeral cafes across Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu. Having established its presence in China with its first boutique in 2025, AMI Paris now boasts 18 locations throughout the country, with approximately 40 retail outlets across the Asian market.
